Re-roofing Information 



Q.     Do I need to pull a permit to re-roof my house? 

A.     YES

Q.     What forms do I fill out?

A.     You must complete a Building Permit Application.  If a contractor is doing the work for you they should pull the permit and they must be registered with the City of Hilliard.  If you are doing the work yourself, you must complete a Homeowner’s Affidavit and have it Notarized.  For your convenience here are links the forms you will/may need:

Q.     Will I need to have the roof inspected?

A.     YES.  Our inspectors will come out to check that the felt paper and ice guard are in place before you shingle the roof.
        


Q.     How long does it take to get a roofing permit?

A.     Currently it is taking 2-3 days to process a roofing permit and we mail it back to you.


Q.     How much does a re-roof permit cost? 

A.     $30.30     We accept exact cash payment, checks, Visa and MasterCard.
