Board of Zoning Appeals

The BZA consists of seven members who serve five-year terms and are appointed by City Council. The board rules on variances to the City's Zoning Code such as setbacks for decks and fences.

Bill Uttley– City Council Representative

The Board of Zoning Appeals meets the third Thursday of each month at the Hilliard Municipal Building, 3800 Municipal Way, at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise advertised. The Board may or may not issue a ruling for each application at that hearing, if a case is tabled or continued. If special accommodations are needed please contact Tara Maine, City Clerk, at 614-334-2368 48 hours prior to the scheduled hearing.
